Top 5 Mega Pokémon that EVERYONE ACTUALLY Wants
This article will show our findings for what fans want in the future of Mega Evolution!
With the release of Pokémon Legends Z-A and the announcement of Mega Evolution coming back, Pokémon fans have been wondering:
Who is Next?
We ran a poll with our channel subscribers and this is what the fans wanted!

#5 Crobat
Crobat is a Pokémon synonymous with the concept of friendship. Going from an annoying Zubat that intercepted you in a cave , to one of the most heartwarming plot devices in Pokémon games. The friendship evolution gives an entirely different context to rival Silver and Team Galactic Boss Cyrus, maybe they aren’t all that bad…
With a rich competitive history being a meta staple in UU, OU and even restricted VGC formats for as long as it has existed, fans are left wondering when this smiling pal will evolve!
Mega Crobat could take advantage of Crobat’s support capabilities and speed with an ability like Mold Breaker allowing it to Taunt and Defog even in the face of the mighty Gholdengo!
We can only see what the future awaits for our friendly bat.

#4 Spiritomb
A Pokémon made of 108 spirits in penance has been hyped up to be extremely powerful both in game and in the show, but this has not ever really been the case for it in competitive Pokémon. In game lore has shown us how powerful hatred is in the Pokémon world through fellow ghost type Annihilape, so fans have often been left to wonder, why the embodiment of revenge and bitterness has not received preferential treatment.
Spiritomb has historically been a presence in the lower tiers with its debut generation being its best performance so far in the UU tier. Mega Spiritomb would be a game changer.
Perhaps a new signature multi hit move and the ability skill link could utilize the power of 108 souls to aid Mega Spiritomb in its quest for revenge against the OU Metagame. Ghost and Dark are terrifying offensive types after all!

#3 Electivire and Magmortar
We all remember when we first got Pokémon Battle Revolution and the promise of obtaining the special Electivire and Magmortar from an endless grind. What could potentially be more exciting than Electabuzz and Magmar, two of the already coolest Pokémon of all time, evolving?
At least in paper, the concept was incredible. In practice both of these Pokémon have a history of being dumpster garbage. In fact, we often use Electivire as a punching bag for many of our examples in several False Swipe videos! The anime even goes as far as giving BOTH of these Pokémon to Paul to show us how they are supposed to be strong and viable, but reality has even given their pre-evolutions more meta relevance with Eviolite and Follow Me in the VGC formats than any of these 2 had ever hoped for.
Mega Electivire is a must, it could gain a significant power and speed boost in order to utilize its incredible movepool, and actually threaten something for once. Motor Drive is fine for its ability, but please let it hit something hard GameFreak!
Mega Magmortar deserves reparations in Orichalcum Pulse, but realistically something that aids its offensive power and brings value to the team like Drought could aid it greatly! After all its fireballs are supposed to be 3600F, so he might as well get that sun boost.

#2 Froslass
Is there even anything needed to say about Froslass? Mega Glalie is already a thing! Froslass is one of the most, if not the most beloved alternate evolution path in Pokémon history, so like the Black Eyed Peas would ponder, Where is the love?
Froslass is an incredibly frightening Pokémon both in the games and the anime, and its competitive Pokémon history is no different. Its unparalleled ability to set up Spikes, deny Rapid Spin and act as a all out lead with Destiny Bond has made Froslass a staple of many UU Metagames throughout the years. This Pokémon has even been banned from competitive play due to a very controversial decision by the DPP OU council. Many players have taken offense to its ban while many others agree.
Mega Froslass would answer the question of, what if we banned it for what it does to your Pokémon rather than its ability to dodge moves in weather. It could use its ability to turn victims into decorations with Shadow Tag. I mean, this has never ever gone wrong competitively right?

#1 Flygon
We all know what Pokémon fans truly want, Mega Charizard Z, but we also know how much Flygon deserves this. One of the most memorable designs in Pokémon history, beloved by many players around the world needs some justice done to its name.
Flygon’s competitive history has often led it to be compared to Garchomp. It is very much a situation of you vs the guy she told you not to worry about with Garchomp and Flygon’s dynamic. Even though Flygon shines in metagames where Garchomp is absent as one of its staples, it has never been able to escape its shadow. Incredibly, even its first evolution Trapinch has seen more competitive success than Flygon due to its broken ability Arena Trap.
Mega Flygon needs to differentiate Flygon from Garchomp. A Pokémon known as the ELEMENTAL SPIRIT OF THE DESERT should at least be able to conjure up said weather. Give it Sand Stream or some sort of convoluted ability like Hadron Engine where it gets Weather and Misty Terrain at the same time. Flygon is long overdue for a crazy buff, even something like Compoundeyes and Fissure would probably fly nowadays! (We know that doesn’t work) Compoundeyes would let it drop the most accurate Dracos and it could even get some crazy support like Hurricane!
